Provide HPC & AI economic and statistical expertise
Support faculty and staff ’s computing intensive and analytical projects
Conduct HPC analysis with the use of HyperGator
Serve as the Center’s liaison to the Data Science community at UF

Curate large-scale databases needed for Center HPC research
Seek to aggregate data to support intensive analysis
Coordinate data contribution to cross-departmental university projects
Assist research team in extracting and organizing data for individual studies

Communicate research findings
Support student instruction on analytical topics
Deliver study findings and analytical results at Bergstrom Center events
SUPERVISION: The Real Estate Researcher works independently on major projects agreed upon with the Research Director and in general support of the Center.
The individual in this position is expected to perform on their own initiative, given limited direction.
The position reports to the Research Director and may receive direction from the Center’s Executive Director.
Supervision of this position will be daily interaction and occasional status meetings with verbal or written instructions as needed.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the office located on the University of Florida Gainesville main campus.
Hours will vary during Center events and as needed to complete time-sensitive projects.
There may also be occasional travel to meet the goals of the Center.
COMMUNICATION: Interacts daily with students, staff, and faculty within the Center and more broadly UF.
These interactions will largely be related to research matters within the Center.
Also interacts with alumni and constituents of the Center, professionals in the real estate industry and with media agents such as reporters.

Expected Salary:
$80,500 - $130,000 salary range
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s Degree in data science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field and seven years of experience; Master's Degree in data science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field and five years of experience; Doctoral Degree in data science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field and three years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interested in the business and real estate fields with an economics/econometrics background.
Advanced degrees and professional designations preferred.
Clear written and spoken communication.
Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence.
Proficiency with at least one statistical software package like Stata, SAS, R, Python, etc.
