Responsible for the functions of Mortgage Contact Center support and the mortgage department loan origination team including but not limited to:

Responsible for the overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing including, but not limited to: counseling and prequalifying potential home buyers; taking complete and accurate applications; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fee and lock-in information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties, and obtaining loan documentation after closing, as directed by senior management.
Comply with all state and federal rules and regulations as related to mortgage lending and the National Mortgage Licensing System.

Service existing members with mortgage related activities such as answering questions, outbound calls to offer products and services and other service related activities as directed by management.

Establish and maintain client referral relationships with Realtors, builders, and developers and make sales calls on potential or existing customers, as assigned, to develop new business or retain existing business
4.
Responsible for attending staff meetings to stay informed of credit union activities.
5.
Responsible for regularly attending trade shows and participating in related business development activities including but not limited to; select employee group events, home shows, Realtor trade shows, open houses etc.
6.
Attend local State Housing initiative program to become certified lender in Alachua and Marion Counties.
7.
Regular and predictable attendance.
8.
Negotiate terms and conditions of loan with mortgagors.
9.
Stay informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market and the competitive environment, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
10.
Compliance with OFAC, and the Bank Secrecy Act
11.
Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1-2 years loan officer experience or strong sales experience with demonstrated potential to transfer skills to mortgage origination
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write, and communicate at a level consistent with the requirements of this position and to generate independent leads for new business.
Working knowledge of standard loan products in the industry and strong familiarity with underwriting guidelines.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in limited standardized situations.
