Hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:45am-5:15pm with one day a week from 9:45am to 6:15pm.
Role
Assist members with real estate loan applications; loan processing/closings and loan disbursements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Reviews residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment; recommends that loans not meeting standards be denied.
Prepare loan application forms; submits mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval.
Prepares closing documents and/or loan modification documents for new and existing loans.
Calls specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, and appraisal; informs supervisor of discrepancies in title or survey.
Records data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.
Assists with periodic RE Operations projects such as homeowners insurance follow up, property tax payments, construction draws and escrow analysis.
Adheres to and follows all governmental policies and regulations
Produces loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero errors.
Prepares files for underwriting within 3 days of receipt.
Closes, organizes and completes member loan files.
Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
Maintain working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the Credit Union and from the industry as a whole.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to and follows all governmental regulations and policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education
Associate Degree OR
completion of a specialized certification or licensing
completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors
job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program
Work Experience
1 - 3 years of similar or related experience
Other Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be familiar with Credit Union products and services.
