Hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 8:45am - 02:15 pm.
Role
Responsible for servicing mortgage loans and assisting with other mortgage functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
This position will assist members with questions relating to loan payments, escrow, and taxes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Maintains servicing of mortgage portfolio, including escrow processing, updating variable interest rates, monthly billing statements, mortgage satisfactions, insurance and real estate tax tracking, and private mortgage insurance cancellations
Set up new mortgage loans, verifying the accuracy of data transferred from LOS.
Review documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper servicing and reporting, including tax service contracts, flood certification policy, and MI certificates
Answer telephone calls from members on routine inquiries regarding escrow, insurance, real estate taxes, interest paid, rate changes and other details of existing loans
Processes loan payoff checks and pays off loans on the FICS Mortgage Servicer system
Prepare and send welcome letter and initial payment coupon book.
Reviews incoming mail for insurance documentation and refers all cancellation notices to Van Wagenen for immediate action
Calls insurance agents and/or members to ensure receipt of policies for non-impounded loans with policies set to expire
Analyzes all loan payments rejected by the Episys posting, including escrow payments.
Maintains Post Closing Pipeline for all closed and funded Real Estate Loans
Creates closing documents for mortgage loans as well as oversees the process with branches, closing agents, and members
Assists the Accounting Department with reconciliation of payment clearing account, escrow pay clearing account, investor P&I accounts, investor escrow accounts
Processes a FICS file backup daily
Obtains current condominium master insurance policies, CC&R's, by-laws and articles of incorporation
Performance Measurements:
Adheres to and follows all governmental policies and regulations
Assist members in a professional and cordial manner
Develop a strong knowledge of FICS, Episys, and LOS
Ensure all files are complete and in compliance
Complete work accurately and in a timely manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Six months to two (2) years of similar or related experience.
Knowledge of FICS mortgage servicing preferred.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: NMLS registration is required.
Knowledge of FICS mortgage servicing preferred
