Job Opening Summary
This position requires gathering information from several sources, analyzing and summarizing the information to draw conclusions and make decisions as related to a document imaging system such as OnBase.
Individual must have a clear understanding of systems functionality and/or departmental processes.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are required for evaluation, testing and validation of document management system functionality, upgrades and enhancements.
This position provides day-to-day application administration and maintenance of UF Health's OnBase document management solution.
Maintains proper configuration and access controls, as well as supporting business solutions, in the areas of document management, workflow, imaging and integration with business applications.
Will analyze and document workflows, perform interface configurations, build and maintain OnBase application, coordinate software updates, support new software releases, test application software and interfaces, develop and maintain documentation, establish and maintain change control procedures, assist with user training and set standards and conventions with minimal assistance.
Individual will utilize policies, existing knowledge bases and available tools to assist in formulation of recommendations.
The employee must assimilate customer requirements, utilize standard IS methodologies and gather information from various sources when designing solutions for business needs for projects with defined scope.
This position is largely self-directed, working within a general framework established by management for the analysis, design, testing and implementation of business or clinical systems.
The employee may be required to access information considered "confidential and protected" by the organization to achieve the implementation and maintenance of systems.
The employee must comply with all relevant policies and procedures related to the use, disclosure and security of this information and policies related to security of the organization's information systems.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science or another applicable area of study, plus three (3) years of relevant work experience required.
However, an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Examples of relevant work experience include health care experience, project management, programming/coding and system implementation coordination.
Must have knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
Must have strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver".
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
