Santa Fe College is seeking an Application Developer who participates in the design and development of software based on project specifications.
The salary range for this position is $49,983-$87,081.
The final salary offer is dependent on applicant qualifications and is based on the guidelines outlined in the SF Salary Schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Incumbents focused on web development:
* Creates a mockup of requested software on various platforms, including web, mobile, and middleware, using a variety of programming languages and specifications provided by the Information Systems Administrator.
* Assists with design standards creation as requested.
* Incumbents focused on development:
* Creates software on various platforms, including web, mobile, and middleware, using a variety of programming languages and specifications provided by the Information Systems Administrator.
* Makes updates as needed on web development or software development based on feedback and testing.
* Tests and debugs applications to ensure no errors and that applications are ready for the production environment.
* Participates in regular team meetings to discuss projects, timelines, and issues encountered in the software creation process.
* Maintains documentation regarding software development activities and results.
* Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Director, Information Technology Services
Qualifications
*Required:*
* Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field and/or a combination of education and experience equal to two (2) years is required.
* Intermediate-level computer skills in MS Office products.
*Additional Requirements: *A criminal background check will be conducted.
*Preferred: *Experience with the following programs and tools:
* IBM Rational Business Developer, Visual Age Developer, and Rational Team Concert, Adobe Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), SQL Server Management Studio, DB2 Command Editor, Worklight, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Java Serve Pages, Foundation, Font Awesome, and FTP.
