The Work You Will Do: Maintain current knowledge of Florida Statutes and board rules governing the practice of Certified Public Accounting to ensure accurate processing of all processing of all Certified Public Accounting licensure and examination applications to include examination, original licensure, licensure by endorsement, reactivations, renewals, firm applications, temporary permits, licensure maintenance and CPE sponsor and courses.
Assist with complex applications by performing the following for each application type: Endorsement Application Check CPAVerify and import results to the application.
Check CIU – Undetermined to see if there are documents for the application and index to application.
Original License Application Import education worksheet, old transcripts, new transcripts (if applicable) and verification of work experience (if applicable) to licensure application.
Reactivation Verify CPE reporting form and proof of attendance matches.
Notate if missing sufficient proof of attendance and if course is categorized incorrectly.
Firms Verify firms in Sunbiz and import results to applications in OnBase.
Assist with composing and authorizes preparation of correspondence regarding licensure and regulation of professionals, provides application status updates, provides guidance to applicants seeking cure of application deficiencies, including processing requests for petitions, and responds to general public inquiries regarding examination and licensure requirements; includes communicating both verbally and in writing.
Responds to complaints and inquires to the public, potential licensees, and licensees, and provides information.
Provides applicants personal guidance regarding certification and licensure, discipline, and other regulatory functions.
Serves as Tier-N resource to resolve inquiries from applicants, internal department staff and external inquires, to include providing Certified Public Accounting updates on statute and rule changes.
Reviews and make recommendation for improvements in procedures.
Review and make recommendations for changes/corrections on board website.
Utilizes email, telephone, written correspondence, data base and the website to communicate up to date and accurate information regarding Certified Public Accounting.
Analyzes applications for financial transactions to determine appropriate processing fees.
Completes required documentation for refund processing.
Import FDLE results to applications in OnBase.
Process cpa.

Serve as inter office support staff as needed to include but not limited to answer phones, attend technology meetings, testing technology tickets, conducting grade audits and other duties as defined by management.

Retrieve CPA exam scores from national database and update licensing system as required, code application updates according to department guidelines for tracking purposes, scan supplemental information to imaging system on a daily basis, update contact history on all customer interactions.
Performs related work as required.
