Role Summary
A Senior Land Use Agent obtains access and right-of-way agreements.
Coordinates permitting and pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready for utility poles.
Senior Land Use Agent will serve as a team mentor and trainer.
The role will oversee the right-of-way processes and provide inter-department lead support.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Ability to execute all functions of a Land Use Agent II.
Responsible for training, onboarding, and refresher courses in the development of new staff members.
Facilitates vendor workload for compliance to include timely submittals, quality control, and additional materials such as as-builts or AutoCAD drawings.
Handles expedite requests and largescale projects by establishing aggressive timelines for work to ensure project timelines and due dates.
Be a proactive and critical thought partner to leadership across Permitting, Construction, Change Management, and other integral teams.
Research and reviews the project, gather necessary data and requirements for the project and prepare documentation and visualizations.
Test new technologies, tools, and data.
Create, revise, and maintain methods and procedures, enhancement requests, and functionalities for analytics that support Right of Way and sharing best practices with partnering teams.
Reads and interprets civil engineering drawings and DOT as well as all applicable rules and regulations for entities.
May work closely with design and engineering teams to select and allocate fiber needs and requirements.
Evaluates field engineering of proposed projects as required and ensures alternative routing.
Delivers the most cost-effective design for construction and takes necessary steps to meet customer needs.
May function as a company representative with other utility and state/local entities.
May coordinate with administrative personnel; may verify and reconcile invoices.
Serves as subject matter expert as projects are completed, performs tasks as assigned, reconcile assets, and generate reports.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED with 5 years' of experience in related discipline (i.
e.
, Design, Construction, Permitting, etc.
); OR Associates Degree, BA/BS degree or certification in related discipline; with 3 years' of experience in related field; OR 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree or certification.
Must complete all required training Requires strong knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, WATTS & OPTIX, RAMT, Myworld.
Experience leading large-scale projects Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with internal and external customers.
Preferred qualifications: Land Management Specialist Degree or Certification and/or RWA (Right of Way) Certificate and/or NESC (National Electric Safety Certification) continuing education units or certification and/or STCE continuing education units or certification USD 30.

35 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $30.

The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.
) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits: Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
