This position, part of the CFO division, is located in the Banking & Merchant Services department.
The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert for Banking & Merchant Services business processes, ensuring efficient and effective processes, identifying solutions, and coordinating with UFIT and third-party vendors in response to technology needs or enhancements.
This position must possess excellent analytical, research, problem-solving and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to effectively maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders.
The incumbent will support enterprise-wide units as well as end users with complex issues, participate or lead special projects as assigned, and evaluate information to identify opportunities or potential areas for improvements.
Examples of Work (These are not all inclusive, nor do they cover the full extent of the duties performed): This position assists with the establishment of new enterprise-wide e-commerce credit card merchants with UF departments, DSOs and outside agencies.
Administers and manages UF’s e-commerce solution and orders, programs, tests and troubleshoots related equipment.
The incumbent maintains property control records and conducts periodic inventory reviews.
Designs, develops, and conducts training for both administrators and e-commerce application end-users.
Addresses, with assistance from UFIT, any vulnerabilities in the application.
This position is responsible for coordinating the annual compliance assessment with enterprise-wide units.
Monitors the compliance status of all third-party vendors, maintains documentation relative to compliance, and follows-up with all impacted stakeholders regularly to verify continued compliance.
They also function as a liaison of Banking and Merchant Services to UFIT and UFIT Security regarding credit card and ecommerce activity.
As well as assist UFIT in addressing any vulnerabilities in the cardholder environment and recommends adjustments as needed.
Provides support for other Banking & Merchant Services teams as needed to provide consistent service levels.
These tasks may include, but are not limited to, assisting with wires, bank transfers, deposits, payments, and journals.
Processes credit card refunds on web portals of service providers regarding the university’s credit card transactions including students’ online tuition payments.
Assists with handling credit card disputes and chargebacks.
Participates in the design and development of training for departments regarding University regulations and the dissemination of UF Payment Card policies, standards, and guidelines.
Reviews and recommends updates for the UF Payment card website.
Expected Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to experience in higher education environment.
Knowledge of banking procedures and/or practices for receiving, depositing, and disbursing cash.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, and procedures.
Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and the relevant compliance programs and frameworks associated with these standards.
Demonstrated experience managing and interacting with payment card merchants.
Demonstrated experience with e-commerce, third party payment gateways, merchant account processes, and acquiring banks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as team member.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse decentralized customers and constituents.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, and Excel.
Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheet, database, query and other analytical tools.
Strong organizational skills Demonstrated attention to detail.
