The Project Accounting Coordinator role includes managing financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, client billing, and compliance with financial documentation, while also supporting project teams with contract and cost management.
This position is key for ensuring smooth financial operations across projects.

General Responsibilities:
Assists and supports the project team with budget management, project forecasting, and accounts receivable by maintaining accurate and complete accounting records
Manages the monthly client billing process
Manages monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reporting
Maintains monthly project billing projections
Supports the construction project team(s) regarding contract modifications, job costs, budgets, and compliance
Properly collects and tracks all compliance items for vendor and subcontractor payments, including Notice to Owner information, lien releases, and insurance requirements
Assists in financial aspects of project close-out
Additional assignments upon request of Finance Director
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar business degree, preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of construction accounting experience
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
General understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices and cost accounting
