Assistant Financial Controller

*Education and Credential Requirements:* * BA/BS in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA Recommended, not required.
* Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.
* Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for accuracy and appropriateness.
* Reviewing budget to actual for reasonableness.
* Excellent record keeping skills, including preparation of Journal Entries and documentation.
* Bank Reconciliation Review.
* Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
* Coordinating, reviewing and preparing internal and external financial reports.
* Experience with Yardi Software and QuickBooks preferred.
* Work under pressure and meet deadlines requiring accountability and flexibility.
* Well organized and strong verbal and written communication skills required.
* Ability to lead and advise accounting staff on proper procedures.
* Assist with the implementation of betterment practices.
* Regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
* Hiring, training, and retaining of accounting staff.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $72,987.
00 - $80,746.
