You will be an essential member of the team, with a unique position cross-collaborating with both the finance and risk management functions.
A typical day for you as a financial analyst might include the following: * Updating the tax calendar for required compliance * Preparing sales and use tax returns * Contacting counterparties to obtain tax exemption certificates * Researching tax implications of doing business in a new state or country * Calculating estimated revenue and expense items for cashflow forecasting * Reviewing market participant financial statements for strategic information * Recording journal entries in the month-end close process * Looking for opportunities to improve process efficiency and effectiveness * Preparing reports for financial stakeholders You will most likely do well in this role and with time advance into more senior roles if you possess the following qualities: * You are a thorough person with a high level of attention to detail * You consider yourself an advanced level Excel user * You love financial statements and find great satisfaction when debits = credits * You can work with large sets of data to find and present meaningful information * You have a high level of autonomy and can organize and prioritize your time to be effective * You look forward to filing your personal tax return * You like learning new things and can do so quickly * You can both provide and receive constructive feedback * You have the persistence and resolve to work through challenging problems The financial analyst position requires relocation to Gainesville, Florida.
You can expect your first-year compensation to be between $60,000-$90,000 based on your knowledge and experience.
