Florida Farm Bureau Federation is currently seeking an *Accounting Clerk III *to play a critical role in supporting the accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks.
This position works closely with the Controller.
NOTE: The listed pay range is the _starting_ pay range for the position.

The *Accounting Clerk III* manages daily accounting tasks such as recording daily deposits, invoicing, preparing journal entries, and ensuring correct billing and receivable information.
*Your key responsibilities include:* * Review bank balances daily and verify validity of payments cleared.
* Review daily deposits for correctness and post to QuickBooks.
* Work closely with the Membership Department to resolve membership payment issues.
* Act as backup for the Accounts Payable Clerk in reviewing and verifying validity of weekly membership refund checks and 1099 processing.
* Prepare invoices for various events and promotional items.
* Reconcile accounts receivable every month and send past due invoices.
* Conduct monthly inventory and bank reconciliations.
* Prepare quarterly financial statements for PIG.
* Update and manage all business licenses (e.
g.
Annual Corporate Renewal, Food Permit, PACA, Citrus Fruit Dealer).
* Assist AEST with purchase orders for credits by schools.
* Assist Controller in month-end closing by preparing accounting entries.
* Assist Controller with annual budget preparation and annual audit.
* Assist County Services Accountant as-needed with various projects, including preparation of tax returns, reviewing QuickBooks files, and various electronic communications.
*To thrive in this role, you’ll need:* * Associate’s degree in accounting or finance.
* Five years of accounting and payroll experience.
* OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Desktop experience required.
* High level problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* High proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Must be self-motivated and analytical with strong organizational skills.
* High attention to detail with professional verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent time-management skills.
* Must possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write correspondences, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
