Disbursement Services is accepting applications for a Fiscal Assistant II.
This position is part of the CFO's office located within the Finance & Accounting division and is responsible for reviewing and processing supplier requests to enable departments to make necessary payments for goods or services rendered.
The position involves working with highly sensitive information.
The incumbent must be detail-oriented, have the ability to communicate effectively to users enterprise-wide, process supplier requests efficiently, and stay up-to-date on requirements and policies.
Examples of Work (These are not all inclusive, nor do they cover the full extent of the duties performed): The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and accurately establishing suppliers in the myUFL accounting system.
They will initiate contact with suppliers to ensure the information provided is accurate and complete and verify suppliers’ banking information.
As well as process requested corrections, departmental verifications, international supplier requests, wireless device allowances, etc.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the myUFL supplier file system and the Supplier Portals.
This position is responsible for monitoring the Supplier Helpdesk phones and MyMarketplace supplier emails to answer all questions and help resolve issues.
They will walk suppliers through the Supplier Portals and work closely with the entire Disbursements team to ensure timely supplier payment.
This position offers support in resolving issues with payments, vouchers or invoices and collaborates with Procurement, UFIT, and the myUF Marketplace team to resolve supplier sync issues, and communicates ideas that have potential to make processes more efficient.
Expected Salary: $16.
00 - $20.
00 hourly; commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience.
Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices and knowledge of basic arithmetic, office procedures and practices Ability to reconcile, maintain and compile fiscal records Work independently Review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting system.
